Ceramic Tile
Ceramic tile is a natural product extracted from the earh, typically clay along with other items like sand mixed in, which is shaped into tiles and fired in a kiln at extremely high temperatures. Ceramic tiles come in a broad range of colors, textures, patterns and sizes. Glazed ceramic tiles are coated with glass-forming minerals and ceramic stains to produce a variety of colors and finishes. Ceramic tile is often used for flooring, wall tile, backsplashes and countertops.
Porcelain Tile
Porcelain tile is a type of ceramic tile that contains 50% feldspar and is fired at a much higher temperature than ceramic tile, which creates a denser and much harder tile. Porcelain tile is scratch-resistant, stain-resistant and can withstand temperature extremes. Porcelain tile is often used for flooring, wall tile, backsplashes and countertops.

Glass tile is very durable, stain-resistant and impervious to the effects of moisture, making it ideal for bathroom areas. Pencil tiles, also known as cigar tile, are narrow rectangular tiles that are used for an accent or border alongside other tiles. Pencil tiles can be made of ceramic, porcelain, glass, or metal.
